PREP BOYS BASKETBALL: Danville falls to St. Joseph-Ogden in home opener
Dec. 12—DANVILLE — For the first time in eight games, the Danville Vikings didn't need a bus ride for Tuesday's contest against the St. Joseph-Ogden.
But, it was anything but home sweet home for the Vikings.
St. Joseph-Ogden used a 10-0 run at the end of the first quarter to take advantage of the non-conference game and the Spartans didn't look back as they defeated the Vikings 66-55.
Tanner Jacob scored 8 of his team-high 15 points in the first quarter, while Tanner Siems chipped in with 10.
Danville was led by senior Devan Larkin with 15 and Jerry Reed III contributed 10 in the losing effort.
