Premier League schedule: Arsenal look ahead to Wolves, United focus on Newcastle

A win on Saturday would give them a four-point cushion that could be useful later in the season.

Arsenal is aiming for their third English Premier League victory for the first time this season as they take on the Wolves. Fabio Vieira will be absent due to undergoing groin surgery but was not expected to play against the Wolves due to a suspension.

The Wolves find themselves in the twelfth position on the EPL table with 15 points as they enter Matchday 14 and they face a tough challenge against Arsenal. The Wolves have scored in their last 12 EPL games, which is the second-longest scoring streak in the division. However, they have lost their last two away games at Fulham and Sheffield United.

Liverpool vs. Fulham

On Sunday at Anfield, Liverpool will be hosting Fulham with the aim of three points that would secure the top spot in the EPL table.

Liverpool has had a great run at home, having won all six of their EPL games this season. They will be looking to extend this winning streak to seven against Fulham.

Fulham, currently in 14th position in the EPL table, suffered a 3-1 loss to Aston Villa in their previous match. Although they will have Joao Palhinha back from suspension, they will be without Issa Diop, Adama Traore, and Rodrigo Muniz, who are all out due to injuries.

Manchester City vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur will be heading to Manchester City with the aim of ending their three-match losing streak in the English Premier League. Despite having won five out of the last nine meetings against Manchester City, Tottenham will face a tough challenge as City is currently in second place in the table.

Manchester City will try to stay focused and not get distracted by the news of the so-called "biggest soccer trial of the century," which will take place next year. The trial will be focused on 115 alleged breaches of financial regulations over 14 seasons. Although the case will be highly confidential, if found guilty, it could result in a huge point deduction for Manchester City.

Manchester United vs. Newcastle United

Erik Ten Hag has praised Andre Onana, the goalkeeper who was signed for $34 million from Inter Milan during the summer transfer window, as the "second best" in the English Premier League. This comes after Onana's poor performance in a crucial Champions League match that could see United eliminated, and ahead of their upcoming match against Newcastle United on Sunday.

United's problems continue and it is unclear whether Mason Mount will be fit to play against Newcastle. Manchester United will definitely be without Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez, who are both injured.

Meanwhile, despite having several key players out due to injury and suspension, Newcastle United are coming off a convincing 4-1 win over Chelsea in their last English Premier League match. Alexander Isak, who returned from a month-long groin injury, scored the opening goal in the 13th minute to set the tone for the game. Jamaal Lascelles, Joelinton, and Anthony Gordon secured the win with second-half goals.
