POSTPONED: Dansby Swanson appearance at meet-and-greet in Kennesaw
Nov. 10—STORY UPDATE: The MDJ has been informed by Academy Sports + Outdoor that the Dansby Swanson appearance set for Wednesday afternoon has been postponed.
"We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to sharing a new date for this event soon," Academy Sports said in a news release.
Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson, a Cobb County native, will appear at a meet-and-greet Wednesday at Academy Sports + Outdoors in Kennesaw, the store announced.
Swanson, a Kennesaw native and Marietta High School graduate, is a week removed from helping guide the Braves to their first World Series championship since 1995.
Swanson will meet fans and sign autographs from 4:15-5:45 p.m. at the store, located at 1580 Crater Lake Drive. Swanson will only sign autograph cards provided by the store and not other items, the store said.
The store is also selling Braves championship apparel.
