This weekend marks the first available official visit weekend in January for football programs across the nation.

Indiana is expected to have a number of recruits on hand, a few of which are late in their recruiting cycle and nearing decisions. TheHoosier.com will continue to update this page with visitors as they reveal themselves.

Jaylond Adams is listed at receiver, and he could end up there, but has been recruited by IU running backs coach Deland McCullough. It didn't seem to matter where Adams lined up his senior season because he was going to get yards regardless. He rushed the ball 86 times for 725 yards and 13 touchdowns, which is a strong stat line by itself. But then he caught 76 more passes for 1,502 yards and 19 touchdowns. He's a true do-it-all prospect that would give IU plenty of options.

This is still a developing situation of sorts. Juwan Burgess is a UCS commit out of Plant High School, the same as current IU commit Thomas Allen, the son of head coach Tom Allen. Burgess, ranked No. 48 in the country among athletes, is being looked at by IU to play receiver. There's no indication that he's wavering from his UCS commitment at this time apart from his visit to Bloomington.

Harry Crider will be in Bloomington to check on things. This should be a relatively tame visit with Crider checking in with the staff one more time before signing day. He told TheHoosier.com Thursday that he was excited to get to Bloomington and start his football career.

Currently an IU commit, Peyton Hendershot is setting himself up for a critical visit. He committed to play for Indiana before tight ends coach James Patton was fired, which led to him wavering slightly from his commitment over the last few weeks. It'll be up to new offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Mike DeBord to keep Hendershot committed. He's also going to take official visits to Penn State and Purdue later this month, so the Hoosiers have a chance to make an early impression again. Indiana is still the favorite to ultimately get Hendershot.

Tyrese Fryfogle and new IU receivers coach Grant Heard have been in communication for about a year now. Heard initially wanted Fryfogle to come to Ole Miss and is now trying to get him to Bloomington. IU extended him an offer last week. As a senior, Fryfogle put up a massive stat line of 88 catches for 1,432 yards and 13 touchdowns. He's a two-time member of the Sun Herald All-South Mississippi Team with potential to play just about anywhere on the field.

Caleb Jones's official visit should be relatively calm. With offensive line coach Greg Frey still being retained from the previous staff, Jones should just be taking a look at Bloomington one more time where he should be able to meet with the rest of Indiana's new coaches.

De'Angelo Philyor is an aggressive wide receiver/cornerback out of Tampa, Florida, who the Hoosiers like at wide receiver. The staff expressed interest in Philyor well before Kevin Johns and Kevin Wilson left the program but have still made him a priority. He's coming off a high school senior season that saw him catch 91 passes for 1,282 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also rushed for another 200 yards with two scores. On defense, he picked off a pair of passes, forced a fumble and registered 38 tackles.
