Phoenix Suns reveal new Nike City Edition 'El Valle' jerseys. What do the fans think?

The Phoenix Suns have officially released their 2023-24 Nike NBA City Edition 'El Valle' jerseys eight days ahead of when they will debut these threads.

That debut will come on Nov. 10 against the Los Angeles Lakers in their first game of the NBA's In-Season Tournament. The uniforms are inspired by and set to celebrate Chicano culture. Local artist Miguel Angel Godoy collaborated with the Suns on the design.

The Suns also worked with local Chicano artist SPAWK to design 'El Valle' merchandise; including hoodies, jackets, and t-shirts. The fan reaction was more than positive on social media -- where the team promoted the uniforms heavily as they released them to the public online.

The Suns then revealed that they are selling 'El Valle' jerseys at the team store in Footprint Center already.

Excitement built as the Suns represent Chicano culture through basketball, in a city where the Chicano community is more than prominent. Latinos make up 31% of the Phoenix metro area, and approximately 85% of the 2.3 million Latinos in Arizona are Mexican.

The Suns have also designed another court for the team to play on that matches the uniforms.

The Suns also posted a tweet of Josh Okogie donning the new look, and another photo which explains how exactly the team used Chicano culture to design the jerseys -- from the colors, the lettering and other elements of design.

The Suns posted the fresh look all over the internet, and one would be hard-pressed to find a negative comment. If these uniforms weren't universally-loved, they were close to it.

Suns star guard Devin Booker was at the center of much of the promotion. Booker is half-Hispanic of both Mexican and Puerto Rican descent.

Expect to see his 'El Valle' jersey all over Phoenix, with how popular of a player the three-time All-Star is along with how popular these new jerseys already are around the Valley.
