The Philadelphia Phillies clinched a playoff berth Tuesday night when they defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-2 on a Johan Rojas walk-off single in the 10th inning. It's the first time in team history that the Phillies clinched a playoff berth with a walk-off victory.

The extra-inning victory was an example of the Phillies' toughness this season.
"This is the most resilient team I've ever been around," Phillies manager Rob Thomson said in a postgame interview on WIP. "They're tough and they keep fighting."
