Phil Mickelson Masters history: Year-by-year scores, finishes at Augusta National

Green jacket owner Phil Mickelson is set to make his 31st appearance at the Masters at Augusta National this week.

Mickelson, after a long and incredibly successful career on the PGA Tour, hasn't been a regular on tour since becoming one of the first defectors to LIV Golf, the league backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund that has poached numerous golfers from the Tour.

But Mickelson still treks in traditional golf circles, especially using his automatic qualification at the Masters as a past champion. In 2023, Mickelson delivered a renaissance performance with a T-2 finish behind winner Jon Rahm.

Mickelson, who has 45 career wins, is among the most successful players in Masters history, with career earnings of over $9.7 million and three victories at Augusta National Golf Club.

How old is Phil Mickelson? Age, other facts

Mickelson is 53 years old, but still shows some gas in the tank from year to year.

Mickelson carded 7-under 65 in the final round of the 2023 Masters to finish T-2 behind Jon Rahm, recording the record for lowest round and highest finish by a player 50 or older at the tournament. He also became the oldest golfer to ever win a major when he won the PGA Championship in 2021 at 50 years old.

Mickelson, elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2012, has 45 tournament wins and six major tournament victories. The only major missing on his career Grand Slam resume is the U.S. Open.
