Peyton Battenfield has strong start, but Columbus Clippers fall to Toledo Mud Hens 4-1

Friday's game: Toledo 4, Columbus 1

Recap: Colt Keith and Isan Diaz hit home runs for the Mud Hens, and the Clippers were held to five hits. The game was scoreless until Toledo scored twice in the sixth. Columbus scored one run in the seventh on a throwing error, and Toledo added one run each in the seventh and eighth innings. Both Toledo homers came off Cody Morris (2-1), who relieved Peyton Battenfield, who started and pitched five shutout innings. Shortstop Angel Martinez had two of the Clippers' five hits.
