Percy Harvin not expected back next week

Seattle Seahawks star wide receiver Percy Harvin has expressed optimism about his status and hopes to come off the physically unable to perform list as soon as next week.

Harvin had hip surgery in August.

Although he's running, he isn't expected to resume practicing just yet.

And he isn't expected to play against the Arizona Cardinals next week.

“I don’t think that is realistic," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told reporters. "I think that is too soon to expect that to happen. We want him to be able to endure the rigors of the end of the season. It's not important to rush him back, it’s important to wait it out and be patient and get him out there when he’s ready to go and withstand the load of the game.”
