Pennfield's Vivian Burns is Enquirer Athlete of the Week winner for April 8-13

The fans have spoken.

The winner of the latest Enquirer Athlete of the Week fan poll is Vivian Burns of the Pennfield girls tennis team.

Fans got behind Burns to help her edge fellow Athlete of the Week finalists Kendall Rahn, Tyler Wolfersberger and Luke Schuemann. Burns received 60% of the vote by the 5 p.m. Wednesday deadline. Thanks to her fans, she will receive an Enquirer Athlete of the Week T-shirt.

Vivian Burns has had a great start to her senior year - starting the season at 7-0. Those wins include going 3-0 to win her flight at No. 1 singles at the Lakewood Invitational. She also went 3-0 at No. 1 singles at the Vicksburg Tournament to open the year.

"Vivian is an awesome leader on our team and is also a great competitor. She is 7-1 going into All-City and is focused on growing from every match this season, which I have no doubt she'll do," Pennfield coach Alex Hubbard said.
