Pelicans vs. Clippers Reactions: The good, the bad and the Lonzo Ball

Against an undermanned Clippers team, the Pelicans took care of business on Monday with a 120-103 victory to bounce back from Saturday’s loss to the Spurs.

New Orleans led for the final 42 minutes of the contest, building an advantage as large as 25 points and holding a double-digit lead for the near entirety of the second half.

All five Pelicans starters reached double figures with Zion Williamson (23) leading the way. Eric Bledsoe tallied 18 while Lonzo Ball had 18 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Brandon Ingram added 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

New Orleans finished with 23 fastbreak points to Los Angeles’ seven and had 50 points in the paint to the Clippers 34.

The Good: Balanced scoring

A game removed from the trio of Ball, Ingram and Williamson doing the lion's share of the scoring against the Spurs, the Pelicans saw a much more balanced attack on Monday. Williamson never shifted out of second gear, Ball flirted with a triple-double and Ingram wasn't far behind and Bledsoe had one of his better offensive games in recent weeks.

The Bad: Turnovers

It was a problem in Saturday's loss and it was a problem again on Monday. New Orleans' 18 turnovers led to 17 Clippers points. Fortunately, the Clippers had turnovers issues of their own that the Pelicans took advantage of to the tune of 21 points off turnovers.

Lonzo Ball: Triple-double watch

While it was a much quieter scoring night for Ball, he still flirted with a triple-double in his 38 minutes of action. Ball finished 7-of-14 from the field and 3-of-9 from range for his 18 points. He added nine rebounds, seven assists, two steals but did turn the ball over four times.
