Paul Millsap, Jeff Teague lead Hawks over Cavaliers

Jeff Teague put up 23 points and notched 11 assists, his third double-double of the season, to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, 109-101. The Hawks took quality shots in this game, finishing 40-79 (50.6%). Atlanta (23-8) has now won eight of their last 10 games.

Teague finished 8-13 from the field (1-4 on 3-point attempts) in a solid performance. He also registered five rebounds and three steals. Other key players for Atlanta included Paul Millsap with 26 points and nine rebounds, and Kyle Korver with 19 points and eight rebounds. Kyrie Irving had another quality performance for Cleveland despite the loss, scoring 35 points on 13-27 shooting (3-10 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 6-7 from the free throw line. He also tallied nine assists and six rebounds. Tristan Thompson chipped in 18 points and 13 rebounds.

This drops Cleveland (18-13) to 1-2 against Atlanta on the year.
