Patriots Week 18 injury report: Three players missing at Wednesday’s practice

The New England Patriots were back on the practice field for their final week of the 2023 regular season on Wednesday. There were 10 players listed on the injury report as limited participants at practice, while three other players were non-participants.

Offensive tackle Trent Brown (illness) was one of the players that did not participate in practice.

Brown was a healthy scratch against the Buffalo Bills last week. Coach Bill Belichick didn’t give a reason for the team’s decision to make that move, but there was a recent report that Brown had purposely held out of games, even when healthy, to protect himself and future earnings.

That could mean there’s a chance we’ve seen Brown for the last time on the field for the Patriots. Here are the full injury reports for both the Patriots and New York Jets ahead of Sunday’s game:

When speaking with media members, Belichick confirmed that he was going to play his healthy starters against the Jets. This likely won’t be a week where the Patriots sit players in hopes of giving reps to some of their younger talent.

It’ll be full steam ahead against the Jets with whoever is healthy enough to play.
