Patrick Mahomes set one impressive record in Chiefs’ Week 4 win vs. Jets

Patrick Mahomes underwhelmed in the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 4 win over the New York Jets on Sunday night but managed to become the fastest quarterback to reach 200 passing touchdowns after finding tight end Noah Gray for a score in the first quarter.

Mahomes achieved this impressive feat in five fewer games than Hall of Fame signal-caller Dan Marino, who previously held the record. While his performance against the Jets was less than stellar, this noteworthy accomplishment served as a silver lining in an otherwise frustrating game.

The torrid pace that Mahomes has set through 84 career games is truly otherworldly, and his ability to produce so consistently is second to none in modern professional sports.

If he is able to continue making highlight-reel plays at the rate that he has established to this point in his career, Mahomes will have no issue competing for the all-important “greatest of all time” title when he decides to hang up his cleats for good.
