Pass interference or interception? Purdue football fans not happy at end of first half

The Purdue football team's offense has struggled to put much together against the Wisconsin Badgers tonight.

At the end of the first half, the Boilermakers sustained a productive drive, only for it to end in an interception. But should the referees have called pass interference on Wisconsin?

With time running out and the ball on the Badger 36-yard line, Purdue quarterback Hudson Card tossed a pass into the end zone. Boilermaker wide receiver Jayden Dixon-Veal went up for the pass and was defended by Wisconsin defensive back Ricardo Hallman.

There was contact between the two as the ball was in the air, then Dixon-Veal fell down and Hall intercepted the pass in the end zone for a touchback as the half ended. Dixon-Veal, along with the Purdue fans, wanted a pass interference call, but it never came.
