Panthers hosting former Seahawks TE/DE Stephen Sullivan on visit

The Carolina Panthers are hosting former Seattle Seahawks tight end/defensive end Stephen Sullivan on a visit, according to Friday’s official NFL transaction report.

The connection between Seattle and Carolina is now bridged by Scott Fitterer, who was just hired by the Panthers as their new general manager out of Seattle’s front office.

The Seahawks selected Sullivan in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL draft out of LSU, where he was listed as a wide receiver. In Seattle, however, he was first moved to tight end, then to the other side of the ball, at defensive end.

He finished the season on the practice squad injured reserve and did not sign a future contract so is now a free agent.
