Panthers G Brady Christensen sustained broken ankle in Week 18

The Carolina Panthers ended their wild 2022 campaign on a good note yesterday—topping the division rival New Orleans Saints in a grind-it-out, 10-7 win. Unfortunately, however, it wasn’t all peachy.

Starting left guard Brady Christensen made an early exit from the contest on Sunday. The second-year lineman had to be helped off the field during the second offensive drive of the game after sustaining what appeared to be a lower leg injury.

Christensen then showed up at his locker on Monday sporting a huge cast on his foot—one that is helping nurse what we now know to be a broken left ankle.

The 26-year-old told ESPN’s David Newton that he’ll know more about the injury later today, when he receives MRI tests. He also isn’t sure of how long his recovery will be.

Fellow hog molly and starting right guard Austin Corbett sustained came out banged up as well. And similarly to Christensen, Corbett’s knee injury may require quite a bit of recovery this offseason.
