Packers rookie QB Sean Clifford gets a perfect 'house warming gift' from Aaron Rodgers

First, Sean Clifford got Aaron Rodgers' locker.

Now, the Green Bay Packers' rookie quarterback has a framed signed jersey and a message of support from Rodgers.

Clifford, a fifth-round draft pick out of Penn State, loved it.

"Not a bad house warming gift ... thank you!" Clifford tweeted last week with a photo of the framed jersey.

Rodgers wrote on the "2" in the number 12 on the back of his Packers’ road jersey: “Sean – Welcome to GB! Enjoy that great city and my locker!”

He then signed it lower on the number, along with adding his signature 12.

In addition to the jersey, the frame included two photos of Rodgers from his Packers career, one of which was from a game against the Chicago Bears, a team he owned during his 15 years as the starter.

The signed jersey was part of the NFLPA Rookie Premiere event in which first-year players were given video recordings from their football heroes through Fanatics, a digital sports platform, in May.

Rodgers, whose 18-year career in Green Bay ended this offseason when he was traded to the New York Jets, also had the honors of welcoming rookie quarterbacks Bryce Young and Stetson Bennett to the NFL.

Sean Clifford has Aaron Rodgers' old locker at Lambeau Field

Clifford finished his collegiate career with several Penn State records, including all-time leader in wins as a starting quarterback, completion percentage (61.4), passing yards (10,661) and passing touchdowns (86). Clifford, the 149th overall selection in the 2023 NFL draft, comes to Green Bay looking to win the backup job behind Jordan Love.

When he arrived at Lambeau Field for offseason activities this spring, he soon realized he had Rodgers' old locker. Word also got to Rodgers, which prompted him to say to Clifford at the rookie event, "Welcome to Green Bay. How's my locker by the way?"

That comment rendered a big laugh from Clifford in the clip shown on Fanatics' social media accounts last month.

"I'll remember this for a long time," Clifford responded in the video.
