Packers look healthy on first injury report coming out of bye week

The bye week did some good on the injury front for the Green Bay Packers.

On the first injury report of Week 15, Matt LaFleur’s team looks increasingly healthy, particularly at wide receiver.

Although the Packers listed nine players, only two didn’t practice on Thursday and just one other player was limited. The other six were full participants.

Among the full participants: quarterback Aaron Rodgers, receiver Romeo Doubs and safety Darnell Savage.

Rodgers appears to have put thumb and rib injuries behind him, while Doubs (ankle) and Savage (foot) appear ready to return to game action from previous injuries.

Doubs’ status is especially notable. When he returns, the Packers will have their preferred top five receivers available for the first time since Week 2.

Left tackle David Bakhtiari (appendectomy) and left guard Elgton Jenkins (knee) didn’t practice. Running back Aaron Jones was limited with an ankle injury.

Although Bakhtiari might be a “long shot” to play, the rest of the 53-man roster should be healthy enough to play in Week 15.

The Packers face the Los Angeles Rams at Lambeau Field on Monday night. The defending Super Bowl champs are dealing with injuries all over the roster. The franchise’s three cornerstones – Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald – could all miss the contest.

A final injury report will arrive for both teams on Saturday afternoon.
