If the Oregon men's basketball team is going to play in the NCAA Tournament in two weeks, it'll have to win the Pac-12 Tournament first.

That means four wins over four days at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas beginning Wednesday with a first-round game against an opponent it knows better than anyone else — Oregon State.

The fifth-seeded Ducks (18-13) and No. 12 Beavers (3-27) will play at 2:30 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks), with the winner advancing to a second-round game against No. 4 Colorado (20-10) at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Buffaloes, No. 1 Arizona, No. 2 UCLA and No. 3 Southern California all earned first-round byes.

Oregon came close to landing one of those byes, but the Ducks have been sinking in the standings the past three weeks after losing five of their last six games.

The Ducks are on their first three-game losing streak of the season, which began with a last-second loss to the Trojans on Feb. 26 and then back-to-back double-digit defeats against Washington and Washington State this past weekend when Oregon was barely competitive.

The Beavers have lost 17 straight and haven't won since Dec. 30. It's been an inexplicable decline for a team that won the 2021 Pac-12 Tournament and made the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament.

Oregon swept the season series against Oregon State, winning 78-76 Jan. 10 in Gill Coliseum and 78-56 Jan. 29 at Matthew Knight Arena.

The Ducks also split the season series against Colorado. They lost at home 82-78 on Jan. 25 and then won in Boulder for the first time in school history on Feb. 3, 66-51.
