OSSAA releases Class A-B district playoff assignments

Jan. 29—The playoffs are back.

The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association released the district assignments and playoff host sites for Class A and B boys and girls teams on Friday, with many local teams learning where their postseason journeys will begin.

In Class A, Crowder and Savanna will face the competition in Area III. The Demons and Demonettes will join Cameron at Wright City for District 2, while the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will join Arkoma at Rattan for District 4.

The regional site is set for Tushka, with a sub-site of Cameron. Madill will be the Area III host site.

In Area IV, Canadian and Gore will travel to Red Oak for District 1, with the regional site being set for Gore with a sub-site at Okay.

Indianola and Riverfield will head to Porum for District 5, while Quinton will host Clayton and Dewar. Quinton will also be the main regional site, with Indianola serving as the subset.

The Area IV host site will be the Mvskoke Dome in Okmulgee.

In Class B Area II, Stuart, Pittsburg, and Haileyville will all travel to Tupelo for District 7, while Kiowa will host Milburn, Achille, and Ft. Towson.

Stringtown will be the regional site, with a sub-site at Kiowa. Henryetta will host the Area II tournament.

The OSSAA Class A-B basketball playoffs are scheduled to tip off Feb. 8-10. Official brackets for the postseason will be released on Feb. 2.
