Lourdes Academy/Valley Christian took ninth place out of 14 teams with a total score of 51 points. Here are the results:

138: Mason Carpenter (41-2) placed 1st and scored 27.0 team points. 165: Riley Zernzach (10-29) placed 5th and scored 11.0 team points. 190: Remington Force (16-22) placed 6th and scored 13.0 team points.

BOYS HOCKEY

Oshkosh 5, Appleton United 2

FOND DU LAC - The Ice Hawks (9-14, 3-6) struck for three goals in the first period and two more in the second to defeat Appleton (1-17, 0-9) in the Badgerland conference championship tournament.

Alex Beck scored two goals, including one on the power play, to lead Oshkosh and the trio of Evan Neitzel, Isaiah Koeppen and Leo Ulrich added a goal apiece for the Ice Hawks.

Reid Polak, Zander Crook and Neitzel each collected an assist for Oshkosh.

Kenny Kapheim scored in the opening period for United on an assist from Hans Ridlehoover and Landon Larson tacked on a second goal for Appleton in the third.

Gage Bauer had 13 saves for the Ice Hawks and Brandon Tobak had 29 saves for United.

GIRLS HOCKEY

University School of Milwaukee 2, Warbirds 1 - (2 OT)

ASHWAUBENON - The Warbirds (13-7-1, 5-3-1 Eastern Shores) fell to the Wildcats (15-7, 6-3).

Charlotte Fetherston opened the scoring in the first period for USM with a power play goal on the assist from London Chase.

After a scoreless second period, Chloe Tobin tied it in the third on an assist from Abby Waara to send the game to overtime.

One overtime wasn't enough, though, as the two teams played on until Fetherston earned her second goal of the day, unassisted, to ice the win for the Wildcats.

Emma Jillig had 23 saves for the Warbirds and Molly Jex had 23 saves for USM, as well.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

No. 4 (D-1) Hortonville 79, Oshkosh West 49

OSHKOSH - The Wildcats (12-9, 8-7 Fox Valley Association) were blown out by 30 at Oshkosh Arena to the No. 4-ranked, FVA-leading Polar Bears (16-4, 14-1).

Charlee Martin scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for a double-double to lead Oshkosh West. Paige Seckar added 10 points, five rebounds, five assists and a pair of steals and blocks each.

Rainey Welson poured in seven 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 35 points to lead Hortonville. Mikayla Werner also hit double figures for Hortonville, finishing with 17 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Oshkosh West 52, Rhinelander 50

STEVENS POINT - The Wildcats (6-13, 3-10 Fox Valley Association) narrowly defeated the Hodags (11-8, 7-2 Great Northern) in a non-conference bout at UW-Stevens Point.

Dylan Taylor led Oshkosh West with 15 points and Collin Carns added 13 for the Wildcats.
