New Orleans Saints signing former LSU guard Trai Turner
Trai Turner is making a homecoming.
The former star LSU guard and New Orleans native signed a one-year deal with his hometown Saints on Tuesday morning, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Turner spent the 2022 season with the Washington Commanders following one-year stints with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers. The five-time Pro Bowler has fallen off a bit in recent years, serving as an intermittent starter in that span.
A standout at LSU from 2011-13, Turner was named to the Second Team All-SEC in 2013. He was subsequently drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round, and he played for the team for six seasons. That featured five-straight Pro Bowl appearances from 2014-19.
A homecoming: the Saints are signing former Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner to a one-year deal. Turner is from New Orleans and played at LSU.
His agents, Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha, confirmed the deal with the Saints.

The 30-year-old will hope to recapture that magic as he has signed another one-year contract to return to his hometown.
