Orioles-Rangers ALDS matchup: Series schedule, how to watch and listen to playoff games
After clinching their first American League East title in nine years and their first 100-win season since 1980, the Baltimore Orioles earned a couple of days off.
Led by catcher Adley Rutschman and AL Rookie of the Year candidate Gunnar Henderson, the O's earned the top seed in the AL and a bye in the Wild Card round while the Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays squared off for the right to face Baltimore in the Division Series.
The Rangers swept the best-of-3 Wild Card series from the Rays − the team the Orioles battled all season for the AL East crown − to set up one of the two ALDS matchups. The best-of-5 series gets underway Saturday afternoon at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
The winner of the Orioles-Rangers series will take on the winner of the other ALDS series between the Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins in the American League Championship Series for the right to advance to the World Series. Minnesota swept the Toronto Blue Jays in the other AL Wild Card series.
The Orioles are back in the postseason for the first time since 2016, when they lost in the Wild Card round to Toronto.
This is the second time the Orioles and Rangers have met in the postseason. Baltimore beat Texas in the Wild Card round in 2012.
Orioles-Rangers ALDS schedule
The Orioles and Rangers will play Game 1 of the ALDS early Saturday at Oriole Park at Camden Yards to clear the way for two music superstars. Neighboring M&T Bank Stadium − home of the Baltimore Ravens − is hosting a concert featuring Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks later Saturday evening.

All games of both American League Division Series will air on FOX or Fox Sports 1. Games 1 and 2 of the Orioles-Rangers series will be on Fox Sports 1; Game 3 will air on FOX.
