The Oregon State baseball team will host for the opening regional round of the NCAA Tournament this weekend in Corvallis, as announced by the selection and seeding committee Sunday night.

The Beavers' seeding was announced Monday morning during the NCAA Tournament selection show on ESPN2 as the No. 15 overall seed and No. 1 seed in their regional.

The Beavers will play against Tulane in the first round on Friday. The other teams making the trip to the Corvallis Regional are Nicholls and UC Irvine.

The full bracket can be found here.

The regional round of the NCAA tournament is double elimination, meaning teams have to lose twice to be knocked out. Last season the Beavers lost during the regional round in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The Beavers (42-14, 19-10 Pac-12) won eight of the 10 conference series they played this season and were ranked inside the top-15 of most major college baseball polls over the entire season. During the Pac-12 Tournament last week, Oregon State lost its first matchup to Stanford before defeating Arizona State to close pool play. Due to the tournament's tiebreaker rules, the Beavers did not advance to the semifinals.
