Oneonta baseball falls to St. Norbert 8-5

Mar. 15—The SUNY Oneonta baseball team fell to St. Norbert 8-5 Friday in Auburndale, FL.

Joey Dwyer hit a home run for the Red Dragons while Nick Jacoby and Logan Hutter each tripled, Sean Liquori went 3-for-4 with a double and Liam Kaseta doubled in the loss.

Liquori struck out six over five innings.

Oneonta falls to 7-7 and will host Cortland Friday.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE

Skidmore 16, Hartwick 5

The Hartwick women's lacrosse team fell to Skidmore 16-5 on the road Friday.

Hanna Goodreau and Kara Anderson each scored a pair of goals for the Hawks while Claudia Pollaro scored once and Katrina Marten had two assists in the loss.

Brooke Lynett had five saves while Alexa Patrakis had two for Hartwick.

Hartwick falls to 2-2 and will take on Worcester State University Tuesday in Panama City Beach, FL.

COLLEGE SOFTBALL

Lycoming 9, SUNY Delhi 3 SUNY Delhi 8, Franciscan 0

The SUNY Delhi softball team fell to Lycoming 9-3 before picking up its first win of the season with an 8-0 victory over Franciscan Friday in Myrtle Beach.

Angelina Dickel doubled while Emmalee Keyser drove in two runs in the loss to Lycoming.

Dickel and Danielle Seymour combined to strike out five over six innings for the Broncos.

Hannah Caughey homered and scored twice in the win over Franciscan while Sidney Cooper tripled, Jaden Taylor went 2-for-2 with a double and Kayleigh Allen doubled for Delhi.

Seymour was the winning pitcher, striking out six over five scoreless innings.

Delhi improves to 1-2 and will play a trio of games in Myrtle Beach Saturday against Vermont State Castleton, Minnesota Morris and Mt. St. Vincent.

SUNY Oneonta was swept by nationally-ranked Linfield in a doubleheader Thursday in Oregon.

The Red Dragons dropped the first game 8-1 and were blanked 14-0 in five innings in the second game.

Victoria Hussey had an RBI single in the first inning while Delaney Haley and Sophia Mangone each tallied hits for Oneonta.

Marissa Dionisio, Anna Torgersen and Angelina Scalere combined to strike out three over six innings in the loss.

The Red Dragons fell behind 8-0 in the first inning of the second game and couldn't recover from there.

Ava Thys doubled while Julia Serena singled in the loss.

Oneonta falls to 3-5 and will take on George Fox for a doubleheader in Oregon Saturday.
