Omro boys basketball fends off Laconia behind Rahn's 32 points, stay unbeaten in Flyway

Here is a look at Tuesday's high school sports action in the area.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Omro 76, Laconia 72

OMRO - The Foxes (12-3, 9-0) defeated the Spartans (7-6, 4-5) to remain perfect in the Flyway.

Keenan Rahn scored a game-high 32 points to lead Omro and Ryan Schoeni added 17 for the Foxes.

Cash Farrell led Laconia with a double-double of 23 points, 10 rebounds and dished out five assists. Nick Blank tacked on 14 points, Carter Bonlender added 11, and Keeton Grade had 10 points with five boards.

Omro 43 33 - 76

Berlin 65, Adams-Friendship 27

ADAMS - Berlin (14-2, 4-2 East Central) picked up a non-conference road victory over the Green Devils (1-14, 0-4 South Central).

Aaron Bartol led Berlin with 14 points and six assists. Hayden Redington chipped in with 11 points, eight rebounds and four steals.

Rio 53, Valley Christian 44

RIO - Seeking their first win of the season, the Warriors (0-13, 0-7 Trailways-East) lost control of a six-point halftime lead over the Vikings (2-13, 0-7 Trailways-West), who outscored Valley by 15 after the break to pick up the non-conference victory.

Brady Patterson led Valley Christian with 10 points, five assists, five rebounds, and two steals. Joshua Johnson added nine points, six boards, five assists, and four steals for the Warriors.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

No. 7 (D-5) Lourdes Academy 70, Dodgeland 17

JUNEAU - The No. 7-ranked Knights (14-2, 9-0) defeated the Trojans (6-10, 1-7) to keep their record unbeaten in the Trailways-East.

Hailee Bauer led the way for Lourdes with 17 points and seven of the team's 24 total steals. Delaney Ruedinger, Charley Mullen, Sabur Machiros and Ella Slusarski all each chipped in with 11 points apiece for the Knights.

Dodgeland 6 11 - 17

Winneconne 52, Kewaskum 51

KEWASKUM - The Wolves (8-8, 4-3) evened their overall record with a close victory in the East Central over Kewaskum (7-9, 4-4).

Grace Mitchell paced the Wolves with 22 points, six rebounds and four steals. Harper Neace followed with 10 points and a team-high seven boards.

No. 5 (D-3) Kettle Moraine Lutheran 79, Ripon 39

JACKSON - The Tigers (7-11, 2-5) were blown out by the No. 5-ranked Chargers (13-3, 6-1) in an East Central matchup.

Karsyn Bauman and Ari Brooks each scored 17 points to lead Ripon. Brooks also snagged a team-high six rebounds.

Madeline Leffel led KML with a game-high 21 points, including five three-pointers, five rebounds and four steals.

Makenzie Luehring added 14 points along with six rebounds, six assists and six steals. Taylor Schwalenberg rounded out the Chargers' scoring leaders with 12 points and five steals.

KML had 23 total steals and shot 10-for-19 beyond the arc as a team.

No. 10 (D-5) Oakfield 57, Valley Christian 46

OSHKOSH - The Warriors (9-5, 6-3) could not overcome a five-point deficit at the half, dropping a Trailways-East contest to the Oaks (13-2, 7-1).

Valley Christian was down only two points with three seconds before the half until Oakfield made a half-court shot to extend their lead.

The Warriors kept it close the rest of the way with a top-10 team, improving on a 23-point loss at the hands of the Oaks earlier this season, but youth up against experience and an abundance of turnovers ultimately contributed to the loss.

Anna Y. Giannopoulos scored 17 points to lead Valley Christian and Mya Moran added 13 for the Warriors.

Valley Christian also played solid defense of their own, forcing 20 Oakfield turnovers.

Jorja Hofman led the Oaks with 18 points, Stella Hofman followed with 16, and Aly Lamonska had 14.
