Ole Miss baseball score vs. Alabama: Live updates from final series of Rebels' season

Ole Miss baseball will be out to score a victory in its final series of the season when it travels to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama for a series beginning Thursday.

The Rebels, already eliminated from postseason play, are coming off a home sweep at the hands of Auburn. They've lost five out of their past six games overall and own just one SEC series victory in nine tries.

They encounter an Alabama team that is playing well despite a midseason firing of coach Brad Bohannon shortly after his team was linked to suspicious gambling activity. The Crimson Tide (35-17, 13-14) have taken their past two SEC series over Texas A&M and Vanderbilt to position themselves well for postseason play.

Xavier Rivas (5-4, 6.49 ERA) will pitch for the Rebels to open the series against Alabama's Luke Holman (6-3, 3.79). JT Quinn (3-3, 5.91) is Ole Miss' probable starter Friday, with Alabama scheduled to throw Garrett McMillan (2-2, 4.39). The Rebels list their Saturday starter as TBA, with Alabama giving the ball to Jacob McNairy (6-1, 3.56).
