Ole Miss adds former Mississippi State head coach Zach Arnett to staff
Mar. 6—OXFORD — Ole Miss has added former Mississippi State head coach Zach Arnett to its staff as an analyst, Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin confirmed Wednesday. On3's Zach Berry was the first to report the hire.
Arnett spent a little over one season as the Bulldogs' head coach, finishing with a 5-6 overall record. He was fired after 10 games during the 2023 season, where Mississippi State went 4-6. Arnett was previously the defensive coordinator for the Bulldogs and was elevated to head coach following the death of Mike Leach. He led Mississippi State to a win in the ReliaQuest Bowl following the 2022 season.
