Fourth quarter: Ollie Gordon II surpasses 1,000-yard mark

On the verge of a 200-yard game, OSU running back Ollie Gordon II has passed the 1,000-yard mark for the season. And he's done most of the damage in the last five games.

Gordon has 903 yards since the start of Big 12 play.

Third quarter: Brennan Presley scores again

OSU senior receiver Brennan Presley got a shove from fullback Braden Cassity at the goal line for a 1-yard touchdown rush, his second TD of the night. It gave OSU a 31-7 lead late in the third quarter.

Presley nearly scored a play earlier on a short throw, but was stopped at the 1. The drive was sparked by a 39-yard run from Ollie Gordon II, who has 150 yards on 18 carries. No team had rushed for more than 125 yards against Cincinnati all season.

Third quarter: Ollie Gordon II breaks through for TD

Four Bearcats had a shot at tackling Ollie Gordon II, but none could do it. The sophomore running back bounced off two tacklers, spun free of another and outran the last one to the end zone for a 9-yard TD run and a 24-7 OSU lead.

Gordon now has 113 yards on 16 carries, an average of 7.1 yards per carry.

The 29-yard touchdown drive was set up by redshirt freshman Cameron Epps, who intercepted a Cincy pass.

Third quarter: Brennan Presley snags TD pass after long Gordon run

Brennan Presley caught his fifth touchdown pass of the season, 15-yarder from Alan Bowman for a 17-7 Cowboy lead.

It was Presley’s first catch of the night, and it came immediately after Ollie Gordon II ran past the 100-yard rushing mark.

Gordon broke free on a 42-yard run to set up the TD. He surpassed 100 yards for the fifth straight game.

With 11:54 remaining in the third quarter, OSU has 123 rushing yards. Cincinnati has not given up more than 125 rushing yards to any opponent all season.

Halftime: Oklahoma State leads Cincinnati 10-7

OSU and Cincinnati traded turnovers in the final minutes of the first half, after OSU missed a late field goal try, leaving the Cowboys up 10-7 at the half.

Cincinnati quarterback Emory Jones fumbled on a rushing play near midfield when the ball was poked out by OSU’s Nathan Latu and recovered by Collin Oliver.

Moments later, Alan Bowman’s pass bounced out of the hands of receiver Brennan Presley, where it was intercepted.

Before swapping turnovers, the Cowboys drove into the red zone once again, but Alex Hale missed a 40-yard field goal wide left.

Second quarter: Cowboys ahead after Alex Hale’s field goal

OSU placekicker Alex Hale drove through a 28-yard field goal after a second straight OSU possession ended in the red zone.

The field goal gave OSU a 10-7 lead with 8:55 left in the half.

The drive reached the red zone with a 67-yard pass from Alan Bowman to Leon Johnson III.

Johnson, playing in just his fourth game this season, had not been targeted with a pass prior to Saturday. Playing in place of multiple injured receivers, Johnson made his first catch as a Cowboy in the first quarter. He transferred from Division III George Fox University in Oregon last winter.

Second quarter: Ollie Gordon II fumbles in red zone

OSU showed some momentum offensively for the first time since its opening possession, but had it snuffed out when Ollie Gordon II had the ball knocked loose at the Cincinnati 17-yard line.

Pregame: Cowboys without Jaden Bray, other receivers

Based on pregame warmups, the Cowboys will be without several receivers on Saturday.

Starter Jaden Bray, who leads the team in receiving yards, is not in uniform. Same for Talyn Shettron and Blaine Green.

The offensive line also appears to be without starting left guard Jason Brooks Jr., who suffered a lower leg injury last week.
