Ohio State scores TD with a second left to stagger Notre Dame

Ohio State’s TreyVeon Henderson scored on a short run with one second left to give the Buckeyes a 17-14 victory over Notre Dame on Saturday.

The play was reviewed and it took seemingly forever before the officials confirmed the touchdown.

What the officials were looking for was whether there was one second left on the clock when Henderson was down in the end zone.

The winning drive took 15 plays and went 65 yards. Incredibly, it lasted only 85 seconds on the clock.

Ohio State kicked off and the ball went out of bounds. It was placed at the 35-yard line.

Sam Hartman completed a pass but after a couple of laterals the ball wound up back with the quarterback and he was surrounded by Buckeye defenders.

He tried to get the ball away but it was an illegal forward pass. Hartman was likely down, anyway.
