Ohio State routs Nebraska in 1st round of Big Ten baseball tournament

Seventh-seeded Ohio State defeated No. 2 seed Nebraska 15-2 in the first round of the Big Ten baseball tournament on Tuesday in Omah, Nebraska.

Trey Lipsey led the Buckeyes with three hits. Henry Kaczmar, Joseph Mershon, Mitchell Okuley and Hunter Rosson each had two hits. Mershon homered and had four RBIs. OSU starter Landon Beidelschies allowed one run in five innings, striking out eight and walking one.

The Buckeyes will face No. 3 Indiana on at 3 p.m. Thursday. Indiana defeated No. 6 Purdue 8-6 on Tuesday.
