Ohio State came up short against against rival Michigan Saturday.

The No. 2 Buckeyes lost to No. 3 Michigan 30-24 at Michigan Stadium. Ohio State now has three-straight losses to Michigan, and has not beaten the Wolverines since 2019.

Ohio State will have one more chance after a 37-yard field goal by James Turner.

The Wolverines are in the middle of a nine-play, 50-yard drive lasting 5:58. Michigan currently has the ball at the Ohio State 25 after a 14-yard run by Blake Corum.

Marvin Harrison slipped out right for a 14-yard touchdown on a crossing route to cut Michigan's lead with 8:05 in the game. It was another Kyle McCord pass, a 28-yarder to Julian Fleming, that highlighted that drive.

Michigan made a 38-yard field goal after Donovan Edwards made a deep, 34-yard pass to tight end Colston Loveland to put the Wolverines in range.

His previous long today was 5 yards, but the play after the injury stoppage, Michigan's Blake Corum scooted 22 yards for a Wolverines touchdown with 1:55 remaining in the third quarter.

Zak Zinter stretchered off

The injury was so grusome, Michigan players collapsed, head in hands, as soon as they saw it. Offensive lineman Zak Zinter needed medical attention after an obvious leg injury.

Ohio State players Jack Sawyer, J.T. Tuiomoloau, Tyliek Williams and Mike Hall all stood close to where Zinter was being treated and clapped in support.

Zinter raised a fist toward the fans as he was carted away. According to 97.1 The Fan's broadcast, Ohio State coach Ryan Day went up the tunnel to speak to Zinter's family while he was being tended to.

Ohio State went 75 yards in 12 plays, covering 6:08. The drive was capped by TreVeyon Henderson's 3-yard run. Although Kyle McCord started the series with a couple big passes, the last 8 plays OSU ran were rushes.

The Wolverines relied on some wildcat quarterback runs and a 21-yard pass play from J.J. McCarthy to Colston Loveland to set up a score on their opening drive of the second half. The series lasted 3:10.

Ohio State athletic trainers taped up TreVeyon Henderson's right ankle during a lengthy review of a Julian Fleming catch. The running back was jogging around after that, but something to keep an eye on.

Ohio State's Jack Sawyer sacks Michigan's J.J. McCarthy

The Buckeyes defense forced the Wolverines punt after Jack Sawyer dropped J.J. McCarthy for a 5-yard loss. Sawyer has five tackles total. Steele Chambers leads the Ohio State defense with seven.

After the resulting punt, Ohio State will start at their own 2-yard line with 3:23 left until half.

Emeka Egbuka caught a 3-yard touchdown pass from Kyle McCord with 6:27 to go in the second quarter.

A few plays before that, Cade Stover made a 32-yard catch with a, stop me if you've heard this before, muscular run after the reception for Farmer Gronk.

Roman Wilson threaded Denzel Burke and Malik Hartford and gathered the ball in just before crossing the plane into the end zone on a 22-yard reception. That's what the officials ruled after a review at the 10:22 mark of the second quarter.

That touchdown would not have been possible without Blake Corum keeping Michigan's drive moving with a leaping dive for a first down on fourth-and-1 on the OSU 39. Then on another fourth down, J.J. McCarthy threw a 9-yard pass to Closton Loveland.

Jayden Fielding was good on a 43-yard field goal with plenty of distance to spare. He narrowed the Wolverines with 2:13 left in the first quarter.

The big play on that series was a nice 24-yard grab by Marvin Harrison Jr. And Cade Stover kept the drive going by breaking up what would have been Kyle McCord's second interception of the game.

McCord has completed four of his first 10 pass attempts.

From the 7-yard line, UM handed the ball off to Blake Corum three times. The third carry had to be reviewed before officials eventually ruled that on his second effort, he was stopped just short. On the subsequent fourth-down play, Corum broke into the end zone.

It is Corum's 21st rushing touchdown of the season, and it comes with 5:36 remaining in the first quarter.
