Ohio State offensive lineman Zen Michalski sheds black stripe

Ohio State freshman offensive lineman, Zen Michalski had his black stripe removed earlier on Wednesday. Michalski came to Columbus from Floyds Knobs, Indiana and was rated as the No. 22 tackle in the 2022 recruiting class according to 247Sports composite rankings.

The 6-foot-7, 305-pound Michalski was an early enrollee in January and participated in spring practices. However, at this point, he is yet to appear in a game in the fall season.

Check out what Michalski had to say after being welcomed to the “brotherhood”.

“First of all, I want to thank God. I wouldn’t be here without him. I want to thank the offensive line unit. Coach Studrawa for believing in me and helping me get better every day. The defensive line for making me better every day. Go Bucks!”

Michalski becomes the 19th Buckeye to lose his black stripe this season. There are still four freshmen looking to shed their stripe, including No. 1 overall recruit, Quinn Ewers.
