Ohio State men top Michigan to win Big Ten tennis title

The No. 1-ranked Ohio State men's tennis team won the Big Ten championship on Sunday, defeating Michigan 4-1 in Evanston, Illinois.

The Buckeyes won the doubles point, then got singles victories from Cannon Kingsley, Jack Anthrop and JJ Tracy.

The Buckeyes (30-1) are expected to be the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, which starts next weekend. Ohio State will host the opening two rounds, which starts on Friday. The NCAA selection show is at 6 p.m. Monday.

OSU women take second in Big Ten tennis

Michigan defeated Ohio State 4-2 to win the Big Ten women's tennis championship in Ann Arbor. The Buckeyes lost the doubles point but got singles wins by Luciana Perry over Gala Mesochoritou and Shelly Bereznyak over Jaedan Brown.

In the other singles matches, Michigan's Julia Fliegner topped Sudni Ratliff, Lily Jones beat Teah Chavez and Piper Charney beat OSU's Audrey Spencer. OSU's Irina Cantos Siemers trailed Kari Miller when the match was clinched.
