Ohio State returned home Saturday night and beat Michigan State.

The No. 1-ranked Buckeyes recorded their 10th win of the season, beating the Spartans 38-3 at Ohio Stadium.

Ohio State's win against Michigan State is the program's eighth-straight win against the Spartans, and is the Buckeyes' ninth win against MSU since 2010.

In the days leading up to Michigan State vs. Ohio State, Spartans interim coach Harlon Barnett was thinking about what could have been.

Having been with the Spartans in 15 of the past 17 seasons as a defensive backs coach, co-defensive coordinator and, now, the interim head coach after Mel Tucker was fired in September, Barnett remembered a stretch of games from 2012-16 where Michigan State either beat or “should have” beaten Ohio State.

“That’s where my mind goes,” Barnett told reporters. “I know what it is to go down there and compete and play hard against these guys. They are beatable guys just like anybody else. We’re going down with the mindset to go down and attack them and get a win. That’s our mindset. That will never change.”
