Oakfield-Alabama/Elba track star is Advantage Federal Credit Union's Girls Sports Athlete of the Week
With over 20,000 votes, Ryleigh Kirkum is the Advantage Federal Credit Union's Girls Sports Athlete of the Week.
A junior on the Oakfield-Alabama/Elba indoor track team, she won the shot put and weight throw during a Rochester Winter Track League meet at Rochester Institute of Technology.
During the winter season, the polls normally launch on Mondays at democratandchronicle.com to determine the Athlete of the Week from the previous week's top performances. Next week, however, the poll will launch on Tuesday because of the holiday.
The polls will be live until 8 p.m. Wednesday. The winners are announced first on our Instagram page, found at instagram.com/dandcsports.
