Oak Ridge High's Mason Greenhalgh wins first place in 800 meter race at state

Oak Ridge High School's Mason Greenhalgh won the 800 meter Thursday in a downpour of rain in Murfreesboro, site of the state championship. Assistant Athletic Director Allen Etheridge said this is the first Oak Ridge win in the state track and field championship events in 13 years. He said Jadon Short won the 200 meter race in 2011.
Other ORHS students also did well - in the sun or rain.
