The Pfaadt family has a long legacy in the Louisville area. Brandon's grandfather, Bob Pfaadt, was a member of Trinity's third graduating class. After graduating from Trinity, Bob Pfaadt played baseball at Bellarmine University. He later became a professor at the university, where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007.

Pfaadt's brothers, Brady and Brett, played baseball at Trinity and Bellarmine. Brett is a senior on the team.

His mom, Staci, attended the University of Louisville. His father, Brian, attended Bellarmine, where he is employed.

The Arizona Diamondbacks selected Brandon Pfaadt in the fifth round of the 2020 MLB Draft. He was the first Bellarmine baseball player in the last 20 years to be picked in the first five rounds of the MLB draft.

In 2000, Todd Wellemeyer was drafted in the fourth round by the Chicago Cubs. He went on to play eight years in the major leagues.

Brandon Pfaadt's ERA in five appearances in his junior year of college. Pfaadt was 3-1 in five starts with 27 strikeouts in 26 innings before the rest of the season was cut short because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brandon Pfaadt was called up to the big leagues earlier this year on May 3. His first start was against the Texas Rangers, Arizona's World Series opponent. He pitched 4 2/3 innings and gave up nine hits and seven runs.

Brandon Pfaadt came up big for the Diamondbacks in Game 7 of the NLCS against the Philadelphia Phillies.

He pitched four innings, striking out seven and allowing two runs.

Pfaadt has pitched in four games this postseason.
