Northern Iowa wrestling releases 2023-24 schedule, including three Big Ten duals

As the season inches closer, Northern Iowa wrestling has released its 2023-24 schedule, which includes several opens and a trio of Big Ten duals (Ohio State, Nebraska, Wisconsin).

The Panthers will open their season at the Grand View Open in Grimes on Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. They'll have their first dual Dec. 10 against Columbia. Their first Big 12 dual will be on Jan. 6 against Wyoming in Lincoln, Neb., before they turn around and face Nebraska in a dual the same day.

• Nov. 11 - Grand View Open in Grimes

• Nov. 19 - Daktronics Open in Brookings, S.D.

• Dec. 1-2 - Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational

• Dec. 2 - Jim Koch Open in Kenosha, Wis.

• Dec. 10 vs. Columbia

• Dec. 18-19 - Collegiate Duals in Nashville (North Carolina State/Lock Haven/Ohio State)

• Dec. 29-30 - Soldier Salute in Coralville

• Jan. 6 at Nebraska, vs. Wyoming (both in Lincoln)

• Jan. 13 vs. Utah Valley

• Jan. 20 - UNI Open

• Jan. 26 at Oklahoma State

• Jan. 27 at Oklahoma

• Feb. 4 vs. West Virginia

• Feb. 9 at Cal Baptist

• Feb. 11 at Iowa State

• Feb. 18 - Last Chance Open in Ames

• Feb. 23 vs. Missouri

• Feb. 25 vs. Wisconsin

• Mar. 9-10 - Big 12 Championships in Tulsa, Okla.

• Mar. 21-23 - NCAA Championships in Kansas City, Mo

The Panthers, led by coach Doug Schwab, are entering their 100th season as a program. They look to build upon their seventh-place finish in the Big 12 championships last season behind junior Parker Keckeisen at 184 pounds, who is the No. 6 pound-for-pound NCAA wrestler according to Flowrestling and the No. 1-ranked wrestler in his weight class.
