North Kingstown boys and Rogers girls win in HS soccer
BOYS SOCCER
Division I
North Kingstown 6, Lincoln 3
Jake Pezza scored a hat trick and added an assist and Noah Korzeniowski had 2 goals as Division I-leading North Kingstown doubled-up on Lincoln. Also scoring for the Skippers was Johnluca Frenzilli Jr. Joshua Bergeron, Marschall Bonne-Annee and Jackson Danforth scored for the Lions.
GIRLS SOCCER
Division IV
Rogers 5, Central Falls 0
Fallon Bagley produced a hat trick and Michelle Crowley and Mikayla O'Loughlin scored a goal apiece as Rogers toppled Central Falls. Also factoring in the win were Amelia Wallace and Julia Connelly, who had two assists and one assist, respectively, and netminder Katie Guinan, who had two saves to preserve the shutout. Warriors goalie Sharon Lopez Atiles posted 14 saves.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Division I
Mount St. Charles 3, West Warwick 0 (25-5, 25-19, 25-14)
Maggie Ray had 3 aces and 7 kills, Emma Roberts chipped in with 2 aces and 7 kills and Ava McDonald made 11 digs as Mount cruised. Olivia Zajdek (4 digs, 2 aces), Emma Pinault (4 digs, 2 assists) amd Allie Iannotti (3 digs, 2 kills) led the Wizards.
Chariho 3, Prout 1 (20-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-13)
Chariho improved its record to 6-0 with a victory over Prout in a Division I crossover. Leading the way for the Chargers were Katyn Nelson with 8 kills and 7 aces and Emma Kocab with 5 assists and 6 digs. For Prout, Ella Martin finished with 6 aces, 3 kills and 11 digs and Jett Cronin with 14 digs and 1 ace.
Division II
Bay View 3, St. Raphael 0
The play of Jackie Buffary (6 aces, 4 kills), Avery Gomes (5 kills, 4 aces), Ella Rwenzo (6 kills) and Maddie Gomes (13 digs) helped Bay View claim a victory over St. Raphael. Leading the way for the Saints were Hillary Jeanty (6 kills, 6 digs), Morgan Fontaine (14 digs) and Olivia Demacedo (12 assists).
Middletown 3, Johnston 1 (25-15, 23-25, 25-16, 25-14)
Gianna Piker led the way with 10 kills and 2 aces and Aidan Reilly contributed 9 kills and 7 aces as the Islanders held off the Panthers and improved to 4-1. Johnston falls to 0-5.
Division III
Burrillville 3, Central Falls 1 (25-18, 25-18, 24-26, 25-21)
Contributions from Samantha Foster (2 aces, 8 kills, 25 digs), Samantha Barber (6 aces, 2 kills, 21 digs), Olivia Taylor (20 assists, 6 aces, 7 digs) and Emilia Ferraro (8 kills, 14 digs) proved to be too much for the Knights as the Broncos rolled to the four-set victory and improved to 4-1. Central Falls remains winless at 0-5.
