Noah Clowney: 3 things to know about Nets' first-round pick in 2023 NBA Draft

With the 21st pick of the 2023 NBA Draft, the Brooklyn Nets selected Noah Clowney.

In his lone season at the University of Alabama, the 6-foot-10 product averaged 9.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

Here are three things to know about the newest member of the Brooklyn Nets.

1. Played his best against the best

Clowney had the best game of his career against the top-ranked Houston Cougars on Dec. 10.

The 18-year-old recorded 16 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks and was a key factor in pulling off the 71-65 upset over the top team in the country in the then undefeated Cougars.

2. Impact in SEC tournament

In the semifinals of the SEC tournament, the Roebuck, South Carolina native notched 19 points. Clowney followed this up as he scored nine points and grabbed 11 boards in a 82-63 victory over Texas A&M to win the SEC Championship.

3. Block party

Clowney was a force around the rim as he had 34 blocks during the 2022-23 season. He had eight games last year where he recorded at least two or more blocks in a contest.
