No. 1 Arkansas running back sets commitment date, includes Vols in top three
Four-star running back Braylen Russell plans to announce his commitment on July 14 at 7:30 p.m. EDT.
Tennessee, South Carolina and Arkansas are the three finalists for Russell.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound running back is from Benton High School in Benton, Arkansas.
Russell is the No. 276 overall prospect and No. 22 running back in the class of 2024. He ranks as the No. 4 player and No. 1 running back in Arkansas, according to On3 industry rankings.
Russell finished his junior season with 1,643 rushing yards and 26 rushing touchdowns. He earned first-team Arkansas all-state honors in back-to-back seasons.
Russell officially visited Tennessee on June 24.
