Nicolas Claxton upgraded to questionable for Sunday vs. Clippers

For the first time since last season, there’s a chance Nicolas Claxton could play in a game for the Brooklyn Nets. The forward has been sidelined all of 2020-21 due to right knee tendinopathy after missing the NBA bubble to undergo shoulder surgery. While Claxton has not officially been cleared to play on Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers, the forward has been upgraded to questionable.

Tyler Johnson is also questionable, but that’s a downgrade for the guard. He is dealing with left adductor tightness.

Kevin Durant is still dealing with a strained left hamstring and will not play. Spencer Dinwiddie (ACL surgery) also remains unavailable, as does Iman Shumpert (hamstring). Reggie Perry isn’t available either, he is with Brooklyn’s G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.

The Nets and Clippers tip off in Los Angeles at Staples Center on Sunday at 8 p.m.
