You want deep threes? Bobby Portis can do that.

Kareem-like post-up hooks and shots? Bobby will do that (no goggles).

You want selflessness off the bench? Bobby.

Raw emotion, GIF-wrapped facial expressions and look-out blunt honesty? BOBBY BOBBY BOBBY.

You want a wingman who will have the Bucks' backs - and take the tech if need be? BP.

Level an opponent and then help him up? A Player’s player, that's Bobby.

You want him to defend the middle, crash the boards, hustle like rent is due - and then smile into a camera at a film studio and tell your kids to stop driving like maniacs with a local public service ad during commercial breaks?

Well, there’s nothing Portis cannot do.

With all our breathless obsession over the Dame and Giannis coupling this season, there’s always been Bobby Portis. Steady, ready and willing.

And just a few months after sounding the alarm privately in a team meeting over coaching strategies and team inconsistencies, Portis helped lift the Milwaukee Bucks to a sixth-straight, post-All-Star Break win by shredding the Los Angeles Clippers, 113-106, Monday night at Fiserv Forum.

Bobby Portis stepped up and played big and they made big shots down the stretch,” said Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard.

In Milwaukee’s come-from-behind win, even this impressive stat line doesn’t do Portis’ game justice: 28 points on 12 of 18 shooting, including two three-pointers, a season-high 16 boards – 15 of them defensive – and two assists, in 30 minutes.

He also used his voice to help lead after the Bucks trailed the Clippers, 35-25, early.

“In the first quarter they threw a haymaker, threw a punch,” said Portis. “We responded with a 20-point defensive second quarter. At halftime, I try to tell the guys: 'We just need to slow down; stop turning the ball over.' They were getting a lot of fast break, easy transition points.”

Portis came through late in the first half, and in the fourth quarter, when the Bucks – without Giannis Antetokounmpo, a late scratch just before the game – needed all that everything Portis had to give.

“The Freak is out … Giannis is out, I just feel like it is one of those times for me to just step up and be a little more aggressive,” said Portis.

The Bucks trailed the Clippers by 13 in the last minute of the third period and without Giannis had enough reasons to accept that this wasn’t their night. Thankfully, Portis and his teammates just don’t have that kind of mentality.

"Play with confidence,” Portis told his teammates. “Obviously there's more shots out there for everybody when a guy like Giannis is not playing, so when the ball comes to you and you're open, let it fly. Shoot with confidence. Don't turn down open looks because that might be the best shot of the possession.’”

The Bucks outscored the Clippers, 23-10, in the last five minutes to win and the Clippers were on the second-game of a back-to-back. In the final four minutes, Portis had a 25-foot jump shot, two free throws, a hook shot and a three-pointer to pull the Bucks ahead safely. He also had five rebounds in that span.

He became the first NBA player this season to have at least 25 points and 15 rebounds while coming off the bench, according to Associated Press.

With all that, and the deserved compliments, new Bucks coach Doc Rivers seems to like to tweak Portis a little, reminding the 6-foot-10, nine-year veteran to pace himself too, that the defender won’t get any taller, that Portis can take his time with that one little fadeaway Portis had earlier in the game.

“We have this joke with Bobby because he rushes sometimes. We always say that they're not gonna grow,” said Rivers. “You know, ‘the guy was 6-7 when you got it. If you wait three seconds, he's still going to be 6-7. Just take your time.’ And he's starting to do that. It's good to see.”

Portis said, after his post-game press conference, he understood that a little bit. Rivers wants him to look up and see. Portis knew the Clippers were double-teaming the baseline, one of his many areas to score. Portis was always looking to make the right reads - and clearly did take his time to get to his spots.

But in all fairness, Portis was also running downhill all game and that’s a lot of momentum. He used his aggressiveness against the Clippers to play the way he did; and it sure seemed like his teammates could link up with that Portis energy as well.

“I’m ballin’ out there, doing my thing; I ain’t rushing no shots,” said Portis without blinking. “I might go quick when I think I’ve got an advantage. … I do what Bobby do out there.”

And as we all know, that’s pretty much everything.

In the previous five games before, Portis has scored 11, 14, 21, 17 and 14 points — all Bucks wins. He hasn't missed a game all season. Damian Lillard may have to bunny hop a bit to chest bump his new teammate in the fourth quarter, but Portis' value to the Bucks is as great as ever. It's clear the Bucks need everything Portis is willing to give.
