Despite having a rookie head coach, Nicholls basketball is back in the Southland Conference Tournament.
In his first season, Tevon Saddler has taken the Colonels to an 18-13 record, including going 13-5 in SLC play. Nicholls ended the regular season with an 80-54 win over Southeastern Louisiana on Thursday.

The Colonels clinched the 3-seed and a first-round bye. The conference tournament starts Sunday in Lake Charles on the campus of McNeese State. Nicholls will play the winner of Northwestern State vs. Texas A&M-Commerce on Monday at 7:30.
The first two rounds on Sunday and Monday will be streamed exclusively through ESPN+, with Tuesday's semifinals broadcast on ESPNU or streamed on ESPN+ and Wednesday's championship game broadcast nationwide on ESPN2.
