After 15 games to open the week, the NHL returns on Wednesday night with seven more contests.

This year's NHL All-Star Weekend is just 10 days away, but there is still plenty of action left in the first half of this season. Wednesday night's games feature a Canadian battle between the Winnipeg Jets and Toronto Maple Leafs, a few in-conference games and several inter-conference clashes.

With so little time before the All-Star break, these teams are looking to put their best foot forward to close out the first half of the season. The coming stretch of games could go far in determining many teams' decisions ahead of March's NHL trade deadline.

Here's what to know about Wednesday night's hockey games.
