NFL power rankings Week 12: Broncos, Lions, Texans, Browns, Eagles keep win streaks alive

Putting together win streaks is not easy in the NFL.

Putting together a four game win streak after starting the season 1-5 is particularly impressive.

That's what the Denver Broncos have done since falling to 1-5 on the season after a Week 6 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Denver is now 5-5 after consecutive wins over the Green Bay Packers, Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings, giving the Broncos the longest current win streak in the NFL and making them the league's hottest team (the Philadelphia Eagles have also won four straight games after their 21-17 win over the Chiefs on Monday Night Football).

Russell Wilson and company will face the Cleveland Browns in Week 12, who have a three-game win streak of their own.

Two other NFL teams also have current 3-game win streaks: The Detroit Lions and Houston Texans.

How long can each of those teams continue their winning ways?

NFL Week 12 picks: Packers at Lions | Commanders at Cowboys | 49ers at Seahawks | Dolphins at Jets | Saints at Falcons | Steelers at Bengals | Jaguars at Texans | Buccaneers at Colts | Patriots at Giants | Panthers at Titans | Rams at Cardinals | Browns at Broncos | Chiefs at Raiders | Bills at Eagles | Ravens at Chargers | Bears at Vikings | NFL power rankings | NFL odds | NFL schedule

32. Carolina Panthers (32)

Lost to Cowboys, 33-10, to fall to 1-9. Think the Panthers are regretting not taking C.J. Stroud with the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft?

31. Arizona Cardinals (29)

Lost to Texans, 21-16, to fall to 2-9. The Cardinals, Panthers and Titans are the only NFL teams to not win a game on the road so far this season.

30. New England Patriots (30)

Entered bye week in NFL Week 11 with a 2-8 record. New England is just 1-5 at home this season, the worst home record in the league.

29. New York Giants (31)

Beat Commanders, 31-19, to improve to 3-8. The Giants have 149 points on the season. 62 have come in two games.

28. Chicago Bears (28)

Lost to Lions, 31-26, to fall to 3-8. Chicago led the Lions with 4:15 left in the game, 26-14, and allowed Detroit to score 17 points to close out the game. Brutal.

27. Tennessee Titans (27)

Los to Jaguars, 34-14, to fall to 3-7. The Titans are the only team in the AFC South not at .500 or above.

26. Washington Commanders (22)

Lost to Giants, 31-19, to fall to 4-7. This team has allowed 305 points, the most in the league. That's not going to cut it.

25. Los Angeles Rams (26)

Beat Seahawks, 17-16, to improve to 4-6. The Rams ended a 3-game skid with the win over the Seahawks.

NFL Week 12 odds: Point spreads, moneylines, over/unders for betting on games

24. Green Bay Packers (25)

Beat Chargers, 23-20, to improve to 4-6. Every time we were about to write off the Packers and Jordan Love, they surprised us. That win over the Chargers was surprising.

23. Atlanta Falcons (23)

Entered bye week in NFL Week 11 with a 4-6 record. The Falcons have lost three straight and still find themselves just a game back in the NFC South.

22. New York Jets (21)

Lost to the Bills, 32-6, to fall to 4-6. No Aaron Rodgers, no chance for the Jets, who had such high hopes at the beginning of the season.

21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (19)

Lost to 49ers, 27-14, to fall to 4-6. This team has lost five of its last six games. Ouch.

20. Los Angeles Chargers (18)

Lost to Packers, 23-20, to fall to 4-6. This team is a last-place team in the AFC West and its head coach's seat is getting very warm.

19. Las Vegas Raiders (16)

Lost to Dolphins, 20-13, to fall to 5-6. Antonio Pierce may have lost for the first time as an interim coach, but you have to like the fire this team is showing.

18. Denver Broncos (24)

Beat Vikings, 21-20, to improve to 5-5. The Broncos have won four straight games. Maybe Russell Wilson isn't cooked quite yet.

The Denver Broncos are the hottest team in the NFL. They are suddenly 5-5 after a 1-5 start to the season.

17. Cincinnati Bengals (14)

Lost to Ravens, 34-20, to fall to 5-5. We might even be being generous with this ranking. There isn't much hope in Cincinnati without Joe Burrow.

16. Indianapolis Colts (17)

Entered bye week in NFL Week 11 with a 5-5 record. How about this stat? The Colts are 1-4 as the home team this season and 4-1 on the road.

15. New Orleans Saints (20)

Entered bye week in NFL Week 11 with a 5-5 record. The Saints' defense is going to give them a shot to win a lot of games down the stretch.

NFL Week 12 picks, predictions: Lions, Cowboys, 49ers among winners of this week's games?

14. Minnesota Vikings (12)

Lost to Broncos, 21-20, to fall to 6-5. The Vikings' 5-game win streak is over, but this team has some very winnable games coming up.

13. Buffalo Bills (15)

Beat Jets, 32-6, to improve to 6-5. Don't write this team off just yet in the AFC East and AFC playoff race.

12. Pittsburgh Steelers (8)

Lost to Browns, 13-10, to fall to 6-4. Does Mitch Trubisky give the Steelers a better chance to win than Kenny Pickett? The Pittsburgh defense deserves better.

11. Seattle Seahawks (7)

Lost to Rams, 17-16, to fall to 6-4. We didn't like the play calling on the Seahawks' final drive, but they still had a chance to win. They could have made that field goal attempt much more manageable, however.

10. Houston Texans (13)

Beat Cardinals, 21-16, to improve to 6-4. C.J. Stroud threw three interceptions and the Texans still beat the Cardinals.

9. Jacksonville Jaguars (11)

Beat Titans, 34-14, to improve to 7-3. The Jaguars are the NFL's lone unbeaten team on the road (4-0).

8. Baltimore Ravens (10)

Beat Bengals, 34-20, to improve to 8-3. They have only allowed 177 points in 11 games. The loss of Mark Andrews hurts on offense, however.

7. Cleveland Browns (9)

Beat Steelers, 13-10, to improve to 7-3. The Ravens may be better than the Browns, but we have Cleveland higher right now because of their 33-31 win at Baltimore in Week 10.

The Cleveland Browns have found a way to win three straight games.
The Cleveland Browns have found a way to win three straight games.

6. Dallas Cowboys (6)

Beat Panthers, 33-10, to improve to 7-3. The Cowboys have scored more points (302) than any other NFC team.

5. San Francisco 49ers (5)

Beat Buccaneers, 24-14, to improve to 7-3. Maybe people wrote off Brock Purdy a little too early after San Francisco's 3-game losing skid.

4. Miami Dolphins (4)

Beat Raiders, 20-13, to improve to 7-3. The Dolphins are the only AFC team that hasn't lost a game at home (5-0).

3. Kansas City Chiefs (3)

Lost to Eagles, 21-17, to fall to 7-3. The Chiefs have now lost two of their past three games.

2. Detroit Lions (2)

Beat Bears, 31-26, to improve to 8-2. Can the Lions make the postseason? They have a huge lead in the NFC North and a favorable schedule.

1. Philadelphia Eagles (1)

Beat Chiefs, 21-17 to improve to 9-1. The Eagles got their revenge in Kansas City for their Super Bowl loss. Could that game have been a Super Bowl preview?
