NFL draft 2024 live tracker: All the picks from Round 1 in Detroit

The 2024 NFL draft is here with the drama unfolding in the middle of downtown Detroit.

The Detroit Lions enter the first round with the 29th overall pick after unprecedented success for the franchise during the 2023 season. Barring a trade, the Lions will be one of the last teams to make a selection on Thursday and have their options open thanks to the strong roster general manager Brad Holmes has assembled the past three years.

The Chicago Bears are on the clock with the No. 1 overall pick because of a 2023 trade with the Carolina Panthers, who went up to 1 last year to draft Bryce Young. The Bears also own their own pick at No. 9, making the NFC North rival the only team with two top-10 picks. The Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals are the two other teams with two first-round picks before the action kicks off. Of course, trades will likely upend everything, that's the fun of the draft.
