NFL Divisional Round predictions based off the best celebrity fan of each team

This weekend, the eight best professional football teams in the world will battle it out to determine who will play a game for the right to go to the Super Bowl.

That seems like a lot of work.

Sure, the best way to find out the best football team is to compete on the field. But we found another way.

Instead of who has a better coach, quarterback or defense (anyone can do that), we're going to decide the games a different way. Who is the the most famous celebrity of each team?

So before they go the old school route of actually playing the games to see who will be in Las Vegas on Feb. 11, let's do it by most popular fan.

NFC Playoffs

Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers

Good thing the Packers knocked off the Cowboys, because it would be tough picking between Chris Christie, the former governor who didn't route for any of the New York teams (Jets or Giants) or Eagles, and LeBron James.

Jodie Foster will represent the 49ers on Saturday.

The Packers are loved by Lil Wayne, but we're going to give top fan billing to Jodie Foster, the talented actress who is starring in the new series of "True Detective.

On the other side, the 49ers top fan might be Dana Carvey. The former "Saturday Night Live" star who made a name for himself as the "Church Lady" and the sidekick Garth on "Wayne's World."

Well isn't that special. Once a woman defeats Hannibal Lecter, it's going to be very hard for her to be scared by a guy who hasn't done much this millennium. You'll have more time to party on since you've been eliminated!

Edge: Packers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions

ESPN analysts Dick Vitale is recognized for his return to Allen Fieldhouse during Saturday's game against Indiana.

You'd think Tampa Bay would be an area where a lot of stars like to hang out, and it might be, but the football team never caught on. We're not accepting recent fans who jumped on the bandwagon when Tom Brady was there; we're looking for long-time fans. The choices are between ESPN's Dick Vitale and Hulk Hogan. We'll go with the Diaper Dandy, the Prime Time Player! Dick Vitale!

On the other end, it's easy. You can't call him sleazy. His favorite weather is breezy, and our pick won't make you queasy like food that is greasy while sitting under a peach tree. The ultimate Lions fan is Eminem.

This one will be over by halftime. As long as he doesn't lose himself, we're going with Slim Shady.

Edge: Lions

AFC

Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens

Simone Biles hopes her Texans can follow in her footsteps by being a champion.

For being a fairly new franchise, the Texans have some great fans, including actor Dennis Quade. But we're going for versatility and athleticism here, and we might have found the perfect fan: Gold medalist Simone Biles.

She'll have a tough time beating someone she probably knows fairly well from the Olympics. She's going to go toe to toe with fellow gold medalist and long-time Ravens fan, Michael Phelps.

I'm not sure you can find a better matchup than the one between these two. Some might call this an upset, but we're going with Simone!

Edge: Texans

Kansas City at Buffalo

Chris Berman could go all the way, but he won't.
Chris Berman could go all the way, but he won't.

This might be the best matchup on paper of the weekend. In the celebrity department, it's not even close.

The Bills are known for having the best fans in the world. They jump through tables, they set themselves on fire, they go to games in Buffalo shirtless in January. I'd argue they have one of the best fan bases in the game. But when it comes to celebrities, they struggle. We thought about going with soccer star Abby Wambach in this spot, but instead we're going with ESPN's Chris Berman. Sure, he's not very good, but for the past 20 years or so, he's been predicting a Bills Super Bowl. He's earned this. Nobody circles the wagon like Chris Berman!

On the other side, there's really only one person who could represent the Chiefs. Knocking out Mr. Moneyball Brad Pitt to represent Kansas City will be former Eagles fan Taylor Swift. It wouldn't be much of a "Fight Club" in any other city, but in this one, Pitt is going to have to shake off a loss to the hottest star in the world right now.

Edge: Kansas City
